    Description

Pictures do not show the detail and beauty of this very unique piece of art work as good as iI would like them to. Let me start by saying if you are into horses, collecting unique pieces or are a collector of all sorts you should take the time to view this listing. This piece of art is done on what I believe to be Stainless Steel that measures 35" across, is 1/8" thick and weighs a little over 31 lbs. As shown by the picture of this standing in a window each horse outline is cut all of the way through by what I can only guess was a laser. The toning and highlighting looks to have been done by either a heating process (the hotter the steel gets the deeper/darker the color becomes), some sort of toning process or both. The artist then took a grinder of some sort over the entire surface to give it a highlighted look. The scratching for lack of a better term is the reason why this does not photograph near as nice as it looks when your are in front of it. After all the work was completed there looks to a coat of very light clear finish applied to the top surface. This piece was originally on the top of a large oak table that was cut out for this to set in, and covered by a 1/4" thick piece of tempered glass. I have visited a couple of local galleries with this and saw some wide open eyes, a lot of compliments, and questions. But no knowledge of the artist, whether or not the "3/99" below the name is the date of creation or limited edition number, or any certainty of how this was made. So as with a lot of our finds, we have decided to list this in our store for collectors with all types of interests to view. And also maybe someone who views this can give us some insight on what we have here. As I mentioned earlier this is a bigger, heavier piece so shipping may be a little costly depending on where you live. Use the shipping calculator to get a quote which will be added to the sale price. No International shipping is available on this listing. If you live close enough and would like to view this is person please message me to make arrangements. I am going to find a way to get better pictures to view if need be. If you have any questions please ask before purchasing. Thank you.
THE TABLE IN THE FIRST PICTURE IS NOT INCLUDED IN THIS LISTING. ONLY THE ART INSERT.
