the First Parish Unitarian Church in Kennebunk, Maine.
The First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church was built in 1803 on the site of an earlier church building constructed in 1774. The previous building was split in two and back section was moved 28 feet and the sections were reconnected for form the current building. The building was constructed by housewright, Thomas Eaton. The bell tower was added to the church during the 1803 construction. In 1838 the church was divided into two stories. The bell tower features a Revere bell cast in 1803. The first clock installed in the tower was a gift of the Lord family in 1859. The current clock is an E. Howard "Roundtop" and was installed in 1883.
The church is well maintained and is a centerpiece in the community.
