Postcard lot of 3 Ogunquit Maine Vintage Hand Colored Postcards. Published by the Albertype co Brooklyn NY.  Postcard #1 "Garden of the Pines" garden  of the lookout hotel, #2 Ogunquit cliffs from the Bathing beach, lookout hotel. #3 is a postcard of the hotel itself showing the walkway and flowers along the front.  Brief history:
In 1907 Harry L. Merrill purchased a small boarding house, The Lookout Hotel, located on top of Israel’s Head.  He and  Harriet Merrill worked together operating the hotel for the very short season that began the end of June and ended on Labor Day.  Guests would come for the whole season.
The Lookout was sold in 1977 now has been taken place by condominiums.
