Our ingeniously easy-to-install rear view cameras can be retrofitted to many vehicle models without any problems by replacing license plate lights - it is no easier to install a retrofit camera.
This allows a particularly unobtrusive installation and preserves the original appearance of the vehicle.
Image reproduction from the rear view camera
The video signal is transmitted via the supplied video connection cable and is automatically displayed on a monitor, a retrofit navigation system (e. g. from Pioneer, Sony, Alpine, Kenwood, etc.) or via rear view camera interface
(optional)
directly on the factory navigation system when reverse gear is engaged.
170° detection angle
The optics gives you a horizontal wide angle view of 170°, ideal for use on the immediate area, so that the majority can be detected behind the vehicle.
Distance line display in the monitor
Using the camera module, additional distance lines with meter readings can be displayed in the monitor. This makes it easier to estimate the distance to obstacles behind the vehicle.
Power supply
Power is supplied via the 12V port on your car reversing light, so the camera automatically turns on when reverse gear is engaged.

Avoid interference with our signal filter

Vehicles of more recent date use a clocked (pulsating) voltage for the power supply of the vehicle's exterior lighting (rear light, brake light etc.), which is unsuitable for image sensors / video electronics and which results in functional or image interference.
Please therefore do not connect the connection cable for activating the rear view camera directly to the reversing light but use our signal filter. A suitable signal filter can be found under accessories.
Playback on the factory navigation system via rear view camera interface
