Our Organic Bulgarian Rosa Damascena Oil (Rose Otto), obtained by steam distillation has one of the most valuable and distinct fragrances known to mankind. Bulgarian rose oil is widely used in the cosmetics and the perfume industry because of its complex molecular composition, healing, beautifying and therapeutic properties as well as its multilayered and deep fragrance. This award-winning rose oil (rose otto) is offered by Alteya Organics. One of the worlds leading organic Bulgarian rose growers and distillers located in the center of the Bulgarian Rose Valley.
Rose Oil at 25 C (77 F) is a viscous liquid. Upon cooling, it becomes a crystallized mass, which can be liquified by warming. Rose oil is a complex blend of more than 300 different components.
It takes about 60,000 roses to produce just 1 ounce of oil, and 10,000 lbs or almost 4.5 tons of individual rose petals to produce just alb of oil.
Alteya's Rose Oil is 2.3 ml (2.3 ml = approx. a little over 1/12 of an ounce). So at 2.3 ml= approx. 1/12 ounce, it takes about 5000 roses to produce 2.3 ml or approx. 1/12 ounce of rose oil, and approx. 52 pounds of individual rose petals to produce Alteyas Rose Oil in the 2.3 ml bottle (a little over 1/12 of an ounce).
