a fantastic vintage rare unused postcard showing the Centenario Stadium built specifically for the First Soccer World Cup held in Montevideo, Uruguay. This was the first ever stadium in the world to be built to held a World Cup. It was finished in only 8 months, an unbelievable short time even for today's standards. The architect was Mr. Scasso. It was called Centenario because it was completed exactly 100 years after the independence process of Uruguay.
I guess this color postcard is circa 1940s-1950s but not sure exactly.

Minimal discoloration and minimally bent corners can be expected.
