We have not determined whether this is a cloth brush or a hair brush.  The person who wins this listing can use it whichever way he/she wishes.
This piece has clean and elegant lines.  The sterling covers wood into which the bristles are fastened.  The mark is at the base of the short neck that has a pierced design.  The Webster mark is clear, an arrow through a "W" with a "C" for company.
George K. Webster founded this company in 1869 in Attleboro,
Massachusetts, a town known through the 1960s for its jewelry and precious metal businesses.
He made it a point to aim his productions at the wealthy, and he also made it a point to focus on everyday items for them, such as this brush.
